My background for hydronic systems is not typical.
I worked in the financial markets, Degree in finance with post graduate degrees in derivatives, many years ago.
I first did some hydronic heating for my place I was building on a rural property near Goulburn NSW Australia around the early 2000’s.
Trying to get someone for my house who could do the job, was rather difficult and soon realised their knowledge on the subject matter was non-existent.
After doing some research I installed the system myself; then helped a friend or two.
I teamed up with Frank Eden who commence the company Solar Satisfaction.
His background and was working in computer programming, he wanted to make a practical difference to the planet.
We were always trying to improve the designs and researching products and methods. It certainly has not always worked as planned.
We have tried many systems, from solar thermal, wood, wood chips, wood pellets, waste oil, gas boilers and now the most popular heat pumps. With our first heat pump installation almost 10 years ago, one of the first in Canberra.
